Leading Hand – Warehouse

Glass Outlet is recognised Australia-wide as a leading wholesale supplier of glass, aluminium fencing, balustrading, aluminium screening, shower screens and associated products.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Leading Hand to join our Warehouse team at our Kilburn, Adelaide branch on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this is a hands-on role where you will support the day-to-day operation of the warehouse while helping coordinate and guide a team of approximately 8 team members.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Support the Warehouse Manager with the daily coordination of warehouse operations and team members.
• Lead by example while assisting with picking, packing, dispatch and incoming stock.
• Assist in the Production and Value-Add departments, including glass coating and cutting Breeze Wire orders to size.
• Operate pneumatic up-cut saws in accordance with required measurements, colours, product types and operating procedures.
• Select stock efficiently for cutting operations and ensure all required Company documentation is completed accurately.
• Conduct quality checks and securely wrap completed job lots.
• Maintain pneumatic up-cut aluminium saws in accordance with the manufacturer’s service manual.
• Assist with coordinating the receipt, dispatch, handling and storage of goods across the warehouse and Cut-to-Size facilities.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse and yard.
• Stand in for the Warehouse Manager when required.
• Perform general warehouse and storeperson duties as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a warehouse Leading Hand, Team Leader or similar role.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• A positive, reliable and hands-on approach.
• Basic computer skills.
• A current forklift licence.
• A current MR licence would be highly regarded but is not essential.
