Bookkeeper – Southport/Gold Coast - Public Practice Accounting Firm

BOOKKEEPER – SOUTHPORT/GOLD COAST - PUBLIC PRACTICE ACCOUNTING FIRM (JOB ID 934)

Our client is a well-established and growing public practice accounting firm based in Southport, providing high-quality accounting, taxation and business advisory services to a broad range of clients. The firm is known for its professional standards, strong client relationships and commitment to ongoing staff development. 

The Role: 

• End-to-end bookkeeping functions 

• Bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance  

• Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing  

• Payroll processing, including superannuation, payroll tax and WorkCover  

• Preparation of BAS and IAS  

• Drafting financial records up to trial balance stage  

• Supporting compliance and reporting requirements across client portfolios  

• Liaising with clients and internal team members to ensure accurate and timely outcomes  

About You: 

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Australian public practice bookkeeping  

• Diploma in Bookkeeping or Accounting (or equivalent experience)  

• Strong proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Office  

• Solid understanding of payroll, BAS and general accounting processes  

• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills  

• Confident communication skills and client service approach  

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
