About the business and the role

Norstar Steel Recyclers is a well-established, privately owned, market leading Victorian business that revolves around the recycling of scrap ferrous & non-ferrous metals, sourced from industrial, commercial and domestic suppliers, supplying to international and domestic markets. 

We are seeking to recruit a Weighbridge Attendant on a permanent basis - full time hours.

This role is part of a small team responsible for attending to the busy weighbridges, phones and the reception area. You will need to be able to multi-task at times, covering the various functions & administrative duties.

Being a front facing role, a strong customer service focus is required.

Are you able to able to work on Mondays to Fridays from 8:30am to 5:00pm? Some flexibility maybe required around these hours of work occasionally. 

Job tasks and responsibilities

Duties include:

Vehicle weighing, product & customer allocations

CoR vehicle mass compliance monitoring

Payments via reverse EFTPOS for relevant product purchases

Answering phones & attending to the reception area

Administration & Reporting tasks using MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word and other office tasks, as requested.

Skills and experience

Previous weighbridge operations experience would be an advantage but not expected.

Customer service experience a must, as you will be the first point of contact in various instances.

Competent numeracy skills & attention to detail required.

Immediate start or flexible pending notice period required.
