What is the role?

Electricians are responsible for the efficient installation, testing and commissioning of the specialised RME manufactured equipment to a high standard of workmanship and safety. Electricians must have a genuine interest in electrical aspects of assembling high quality, high performance, specialised machines. RME’s special machines are a combination of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic systems, including powerful robotic devices.

This role also involves the use of a strong attention to detail, fault-finding skills, data maintenance, well developed computer skills, and design experience and standards knowledge.

Strong interpersonal skills, such as the ability to take direction, respond positively to criticism, and be proactive in seeking feedback and the ability to work respectfully in a team environment are critical to success in this role.

Our electricians are based at our Hursley road facility, there is no on site requirement for this role.

What are we looking for?

REQUIRED

1.    Current Electrical Work Licence

2.    Trade Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent

3.    A strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others.

4.    Ability to approach situations with a positive attitude

5.    Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

6.    Effective communication and interpersonal skills

7.    Basic IT proficiency

8.    Engages and is committed to Continuous Improvement Opportunities.

 DESIRABLE

1.    Post-trade certified Cert III or IV in Instrumentation

2.    Open Cabling licence

3.    Basic mechanical aptitude

4.    Experience with control wiring & telecommunication experience (data or co-axial cable)

5.     Commercial or building electrical and data maintenance experience

LICENCES

• ‘C’ Class Open Driver’s Licence (desirable)

• Electrical Licence (required)

• A current Overhead Crane competency (Desired)

• HRWL – DG and LF (Desired)
