We are currently seeking experienced Disability Support Workers for casual shift opportunities across Myocum, Tweed Heads South and Ocean Shores.



About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants living in Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting participants with personal care and daily living activities
  
• Medication administration
  
• Manual handling and mobility assistance
  
• Domestic assistance and meal preparation
  
• Supporting participants with behaviours of concern in line with Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs)
  
• Encouraging participation in community, social, and recreational activities
  
• Providing support in both one-on-one and shared living environments
  
• Transporting participants using either a company vehicle or your own registered and comprehensively insured vehicle.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Must hold a Certificate III / IV in Individual Support (Disability, Ageing, or equivalent)
  
• Current Driver's Licence
  
• Reliable, registered, and comprehensively insured vehicle
  
• Current Blue Card
  
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  
• Current National Police Check
  
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  
• Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module - Quality, Safety and You
  
• Full Australian working rights
  
• A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals and live independently
  
• Previous experience working in Supported Independent Living (SIL), community disability support, or complex care is highly regarded.
