Senior HSE Advisor | 3 Month Contract | Perth CBD

The Safe Step is partnering with a top tier construction company delivering a range of major commercial construction projects across Australia.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join a high performing project team working across Perth CBD sites.

This is a fast paced role suited to an experienced HSE professional with strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and proven experience working across Australian commercial construction projects.

Initially offered as a 3 month contract with an immediate start, there is potential for ongoing work beyond the initial engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical HSE support across site operations
• Coach and influence frontline leaders and supervisors
• Conduct site inspections, audits and safety observations
• Lead incident reporting and investigations
• Facilitate toolbox talks and safety engagement activities
• Monitor compliance with WHS legislation and project requirements
• Support and promote a positive, proactive safety culture
• Work closely with project teams to identify and manage HSE risks

About you

• Previous experience as an HSE Advisor or Senior HSE Advisor within commercial construction
• Strong understanding of high risk construction activities
• Sound knowledge of Australian WHS legislation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Confident working in a fast paced project environment
• Proven Australian commercial construction experience

Requirements

• Recent experience working as an HSE professional on Australian commercial construction projects
• Australian working rights
• Available to commence at short notice
