Through our longstanding and ongoing collaboration with Defence, CEA Technologies has undertaken research and development into all aspects of active electronically scanned array technologies. This has resulted in the creation of a highly modular and scalable product suite, which have become integral to a wide range of critical Defence capabilities.
The Position

We are seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our Adelaide-based mechanical team responsible for delivering high tech and innovative mechanical solutions to projects in the civil and military domains.
Key Responsibilities
Gaining experience in the mechanical engineering function from concept through to full production;
Gaining experience and understanding of mechanical engineering concepts, primarily conceptual modelling and drawing;
Gaining experience in design, thermal & Finite Element Analysis (FEA) solutions for electronics packaging;
Understanding and following good engineering practices;
Installation of equipment;
Liaising with manufacturing suppliers;
Performing Quality Assurance work associated with mechanical engineering;
Acting as mechanical resource for various (often simultaneous) projects;
Analysing project subsystems from a mechanical engineering perspective;
Liaising with Production Technicians regarding the building of components; and
Technical Documentation.

About You
To be successful for this role, you will have:
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)
An understanding of structural engineering, fluid dynamics and 3D modelling
An understanding of broader engineering disciplines, in particular electronics
The ability to analyse and solve problems creatively
The ability to work to tight deadlines autonomously but to also work closely within a team
Effective oral communication skills, including the ability to liaise with both technical and management staff.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this role, you must be:
An Australian Citizen;
Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance – Negative Vetting 1. The successful candidate MUST be able to obtain clearance prior to commencement.
