Test Lead

A great opportunity has presented itself for a Hands on Integration Test Lead to join an outstanding Omni-channel project. This is an initial 6 month contract with a high likelihood of extension.

Working as part of a busy testing practice, this role requires the Test Lead to have a good understanding of integrating solutions across digital, web and mobile. Testing maybe both front and backend solutions.

As the Test Lead you will have the ability to join the project at initiation phase, working closely with IT to set up the project and artifacts from scratch. Once set up, you will then be responsible for the e2e delivery of the project.

Day to day includes

Developing and executing comprehensive test plans, strategies, and cases to align with program objectives. Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing test execution across unit, system integration, performance, and user acceptance tests.

• Leading defect tracking, prioritization, and resolution during development and production releases.

• Ensuring adherence to quality standards, collaborating with project teams to build quality from the start.

• Managing, mentoring, and leading a team of testers, ensuring resource alignment.

• Communicating progress, results, and issues to stakeholders while maintaining project quality and milestones.

About You

The successful applicant will have extensive software testing experience and have worked in a testing leadership role. You will also have: 

• Strong integration and end-to-end testing experience across multiple systems

• Retail experience is a must-have

• Experience leading SIT/E2E planning, execution, defect management and reporting

• Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills

• Ability to work across multiple delivery streams and dependencies

Technical experience with the following tools are highly regarded :

• API testing experience using Postman or SOAPUI

• JIRA

• Experience with Web Services such as XML, XSD

• Java Scripting is highly desirable

• ISTQB qualifications are highly regarded
