Due to business expansion, we are seeking a passionate and talented Trade Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team.
Job Description
As a Steel Trade Operations Specialist, you will serve as the key link between the company, suppliers, and clients. You will apply your knowledge of supply chain management, sales support, and finance to ensure smooth operations throughout the entire trade process—from order placement to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Logistics Management:
· Process purchases and sales orders for steel products and monitor order progress.
· Coordinate with warehouses and logistics providers to arrange transportation and delivery and ensure timely, safe delivery of goods.
· Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory management tasks.
Sales & Client Support:
· Support the sales team through proactive client communication, understanding client needs, and managing inquiries and orders.
· Maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with local clients.
· Collect market intelligence, monitor competitors, and provide timely feedback to management.
Problem-Solving & Communication:
· Respond promptly and effectively to resolve issues that may arise during the trade process, such as logistics delays, payment issues, or quality disputes.
· Serve as a communication bridge between internal teams and external clients/suppliers, ensuring accurate and efficient information flow.
Qualifications
Essential:
· Educational or professional background in Accounting, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
· Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (written and verbal), enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
· Possession of a valid Australian driver's license and willingness to travel locally (primarily within Sydney).
· Proactive and resilient personality with strong problem-solving abilities and a positive attitude toward challenges.
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and numerically skilled, with a strong sense of responsibility.
Preferred:
· Prior experience in the steel or building materials industry is highly regarded.
