Team Leader Planning & Analysis

We're looking for an exceptional finance leader who can do more than manage budgets.

As our Team Leader Planning & Analysis, you'll be a trusted advisor to senior leaders, driving strategic decision-making, financial sustainability, and organisational performance across one of South Australia's largest and most diverse councils. You'll lead a high-performing team, build strong partnerships across the organisation, and help ensure we continue delivering the services, infrastructure and community outcomes that matter most.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Lead, coach and develop a talented Planning & Analysis team.
• Partner with Executive and senior leaders to provide strategic financial, commercial and operational advice.
• Drive Council's budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes
• Deliver meaningful insights, performance reporting and decision-support tools that influence organisational outcomes.
• Build financial capability across the organisation through a collaborative finance partnering approach.

What you’ll bring:

• Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
• Strong strategic planning, financial management and business partnering expertise.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• The ability to translate complex financial information into practical business insights.
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Commerce, supported by CPA or CA accreditation.

This position is classified at Level 8 with a current salary range of $136,589 - $145,959 per annum plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience.
