About the role

The Section Manager Legal provides effective, strategic legal services and advice to internal clients, applying expert knowledge of planning, environmental regulatory and related laws to mitigate legal risk and ensure Central Coast Council is appropriately represented and legally protected. The role also oversees the day-to-day work and service delivery of the legal team, ensuring high-quality customer service and community value.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Degree qualification in Law or other equivalent qualification that satisfied the criteria to be admitted as a legal practitioner in NSW.
• Admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales
• Class C Drivers Licence.

Offer Details

The commencing salary for this position is up to $140,501.02. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $162,791.56 on completion of assessment of skills and/or performance plus 12% superannuation

• We have a temporary full time role available
• This role will be able to access a 19 day month
• We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
• This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
