Assistant Talent Acquisition Advisor Grade 5/6 

Location: Sydney, Parramatta, Gosford - flexible hybrid arrangement with the expectation for 2 days per week in nominated office 
Work arrangement: Hybrid (2 days in office per week as well as on site requirements when needed)  
Duration: Up to 11 months  
Hours: Full Time 35 hours per week  
Grade: Clerk Grade 5/6 $102,936-$113,579 p/a plus super

Join our Talent Acquisition team and help support the attraction and hiring of talented people across the organisation. We're seeking individuals who enjoy working collaboratively, providing recruitment and administrative support, delivering positive candidate experiences, and assisting hiring managers throughout the recruitment process. 

As an Assistant Talent Advisor, you will support recruitment activities across both the Inspectorate and Corporate Services portfolios. This includes assisting with high-volume recruitment campaigns, coordinating assessments and interviews, preparing recruitment documentation, maintaining candidate records, and supporting the delivery of recruitment activities across a range of professional, administrative and specialist roles. 

Working closely with Talent Advisors, hiring managers and candidates, you will play an important role in supporting recruitment processes from attraction through to appointment. You'll assist with candidate communications, interview coordination, recruitment administration, talent sourcing activities and the maintenance of candidate pipelines, helping to ensure a positive and efficient recruitment experience for all stakeholders. 

In this role you will also:  

•  Assist with high-volume recruitment initiatives, including bulk campaigns, talent pools, and assessment centres, ensuring processes are coordinated efficiently and consistently. 
• Contribute to proactive sourcing strategies using platforms such as LinkedIn and internal channels to build and maintain strong candidate pipelines.
• Support the management of internal mobility processes, including extensions, secondments, and large-scale movement activities across supported portfolios.
• Provide guidance and administrative support to hiring managers throughout recruitment and internal movement processes, reinforcing consistent and compliant practices.
• Act as a key contact for vacancy and candidate enquiries, delivering timely and accurate information to support a positive stakeholder experience.
• Build effective working relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders, using insights and data to support Talent Advisors in delivering quality hiring outcomes. 

To succeed as an Assistant Talent Acquisition Advisor, you will have a unique blend of experience including:

•  Experience and knowledge of the recruitment lifecycle, including an understanding of compliance and privacy requirements. 
• Demonstrated experience supporting high-volume recruitment or administration activities, with the ability to manage competing priorities across bulk campaigns and processes.
• Proven ability in candidate management, with the capability to quickly build rapport and engage effectively with candidates both in writing and over the phone.
• Knowledge of the Government Sector Employment Act (highly desirable; training can be provided).
• Strong attention to detail, with a proven ability to work accurately and efficiently under tight deadlines and time pressures.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and other administrative systems used to support recruitment processes.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and professional correspondence.
