C-2 Ventilator dependent quadriplegic seeking carer's with Quad experience

About the role

We are looking for experienced carers to provide support to a C-2 ventilator dependent quadriplegic individual in the Success, WA area. This is a casual role, offering flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle. The ideal candidate will have prior experience caring for individuals with quadriplegia and be skilled in operating a ventilator and providing necessary personal care.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting with all personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting

2. Operating and monitoring the ventilator equipment to ensure the client's respiratory needs are met

3. Providing companionship and engaging the client in social and recreational activities

4. Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in the client's condition

5. Collaborating with the client, their family and the broader care team to ensure the highest quality of life

6. Driving client to and from appointments/shops/sports grounds

What we're looking for

1. Relevant experience in providing care for individuals with quadriplegia and operating ventilator equipment

2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with the client and their support network

3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver personalised care

4. Compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting the client's needs and preferences

5. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries

6. Current First Aid and CPR certification
