Circle Green Community Legal (Circle Green) is a community legal centre providing humanitarian, tenancy, workplace, and family and domestic violence legal advice, further assistance, representation, advocacy, community legal education, referrals, outreach, and support.

Accessible Justice. To create a system, place, and space to ensure a safety net of best practice legal advice, education, and advocacy in our specialist fields.

ABOUT THE ROLE

 The Grant Officer plays a key role in supporting the diversification of revenue streams through grants, tenders and partnerships. This role will work closely with the Fundraising and Partnerships Manager to help build a pipeline of funding opportunities, develop compelling proposals, and support grant and tender submissions. This role will play a key role in enabling collaboration between streams and departments to gather information required for grants, tenders and partnership agreements. A strong candidate would be familiar with developing logic models and comfortable with working with the team to define inputs, outputs and outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work collaboratively across teams to align grant-funded activities with organisational priorities and people centred outcomes.
• Work with the Fundraising and Partnerships Manager to identify and build a pipeline of grant opportunities
• Prepare polished grant applications, expressions of interest and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate internally to collect and clarify input from each department, agree application budgets and develop supporting information to strengthen submissions.
• Manage submission timelines, templates and supporting materials to ensure consistent and efficient collaboration on applications.
• Build and maintain an evidence base of project outcomes to support evaluation, reporting and continuous improvement.
• Provide internal updates on funding performance, status and upcoming collaboration requirements.
• Work with the Fundraising and Partnerships Manager to support internal communications around fundraising opportunities and reporting requirements
• Assist the fundraising and partnerships manager with ad hoc projects/events.

ABOUT YOU!

Essential

• Experience of developing funding applications
• Experience of working with diverse stakeholders across an organisation
• Experience of researching potential funders and prospecting
• Ability to understand budgets and financial reporting
• A keen interest in accessible justice and an understanding of stakeholder perspectives

Demonstrated Skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and relationship management abilities.
• Sound problem-solving skills and judgment.
• Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work accurately under pressure.

Desirable

• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience.
• Experience in administration, acquittal, and progress reporting.
• Experience developing logic models.
• Experience contributing to government funding tenders and submissions.
