About us

Lux Modern & Classic Kitchens is a Sydney-based joinery specialist, crafting high-quality custom kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, wardrobes and offices. We're a growing business with a close-knit team, and we're looking for an organised, motivated Administrator/Bookkeeper to keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly.

About the role

This is a varied, hands-on role at the centre of the business. You'll own our bookkeeping in Xero and support the production team with the admin that keeps projects moving.

Bookkeeping (Xero):

• Accounts receivable and accounts payable

• Payroll and superannuation payments

• Preparing project quotes and invoices

• Allocating and tracking project and operational costs, including petty cash

• Generating financial and project reports

Administration and operations:

• Managing shared email inboxes

• Liaising with suppliers on product details, availability, pricing, orders and ETAs

• Working closely with and supporting the Production Manager

• Tracking staff hours in Connecteam and keeping staff records (payroll, tax, super) accurate and up to date

• Completing forms and paperwork as required

• Ordering office and janitorial supplies

• Answering incoming calls (low volume)

About you

• Hands-on Xero experience is highly regarded – our bookkeeping runs on Xero, so you'll be using it daily

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Comfortable juggling bookkeeping with general admin and supplier follow-up

• Familiarity with other business software (e.g. Connecteam) is a plus

• Able to start as soon as possible

Hours and flexibility

The role starts at around 20 hours per week (Mon-Fri) for an initial six-week period. After that, there's the flexibility to move to a full-time position if you're interested – or to stay part-time if that suits you better. Days and hours are flexible and we're happy to work around you.
