WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS

As a Credit Analyst, you are responsible for supporting ORDE's growth by assessing lending applications and delivering sound, timely and consistent credit recommendations and decisions. The role partners closely with Brokers, BDMs, Settlements and internal stakeholders to achieve quality lending outcomes, manage risk appropriately and deliver a positive customer and broker experience.

WHAT AM I ACCOUNTABLE FOR?

• Managing the end-to-end credit approval process for loan applications.  
• Ensuring all applications align with applicable credit criteria, lending policies, and the ORDE credit culture. 
• Utilising your credit expertise to evaluate scenarios and proposals, tailoring solutions to individual circumstances.  
• Progressively building your individual credit approval level.  
• Collaborating closely and constructively with BDMs and brokers to find solutions while managing risk and delivering superior customer service.  
• Communicating outcomes and decision-making rationale internally and externally.  
• Working closely with the Settlements Team to ensure efficient, responsive, and proficient settlements.  
• Conducting activities that reflect a commitment to quality and our risk culture and maintaining a can-do focus.  
• Collaborating with your team to identify system, process, and product improvements.  
• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements.

Essential

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar Credit Analyst role with a strong broker service focus.
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant financial services legislation and regulations, including NCCP, AML/CTF and the Privacy Act.
• Strong understanding of credit assessment and analysis frameworks.
• Proven ability and track record in solving complex and/or technical credit issues.
• Experience managing to service level agreements (SLAs) and settlement deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, brokers and senior stakeholders.

Desirable

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Business or a related discipline.
• Hold a Delegated Lending Authority (DLA).
• Experience contributing to credit policy development.
• Experience supporting credit quality initiatives and outcomes.
• Experience participating in process improvement initiatives.
• Experience contributing to project work and broader business initiatives.
• Experience using Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
