With significant growth on the horizon, this important leadership role will play a key part in shaping and delivering the organisation's Work Health & Safety strategy across multiple sites.

About the Role

Reporting closely to senior leadership, you will lead the ongoing development and implementation of the company's WHS strategy and management systems while ensuring compliance with all legislative obligations.

This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic influence with practical engagement across a broad range of operational environments. Working alongside site leaders and management teams, you will drive proactive risk management, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help foster a positive safety culture across a geographically dispersed workforce.

You'll inherit a mature and well-established WHS framework that is already embedded within business processes, allowing you to focus on strengthening capability, managing critical risks, and supporting the organisation through its next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the WHS strategy and management system.
• Partner with senior leaders and site management teams to identify, assess, and mitigate workplace risks.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on WHS legislation, compliance, and best practice.
• Drive safety culture initiatives that enhance engagement, accountability, and performance.
• Support investigations, audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions across multiple sites.
• Coach and influence leaders and managers to build WHS capability throughout the organisation.
• Monitor emerging WHS trends, legislation, and industry developments to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.

About You

You are an experienced WHS professional with a proven ability to influence and partner with leaders across complex operational environments. You combine strong technical expertise with a collaborative and practical approach, enabling you to build trust and drive positive outcomes at all levels of the business.

You will bring:

• Significant experience in a senior WHS leadership or management role.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards, and industry best practice.
• Demonstrated success partnering with operational leaders in multisite or complex environments.
• Exceptional communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational delivery.
• The ability to influence safety culture and lead meaningful organisational change.
