About the role
Toora Women is a not-for-profit organisation which has been delivering gender specific services to women in the ACT and surrounds since 1982. Our purpose is to be the leading organisation in the ACT providing safe, respectful support for all women who are impacted by domestic and family violence, homelessness, the criminal justice system and/or alcohol and drug dependency and a provider of choice for First nations women and children.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Bullandyimma Yurwangdyimma Program Senior Practitioner (Many Strong Women) to provide cultural leadership, practice guidance and direct support that strengthens outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, children and families engaging with Toora.
This role combines strategic leadership, cultural advocacy, stakeholder engagement and direct service delivery. Working across the organisation, you will support the development of culturally safe, trauma informed and self determined approaches while strengthening relationships with Aboriginal communities and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.
