Wok Chef – Korean Restaurant

About the role

You will be responsible for running the wok section during busy service, preparing Korean dishes consistently and efficiently while maintaining food quality and kitchen standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and manage the wok station during service
• Prepare Korean-style wok dishes according to recipes and standards
• Maintain consistency in flavour, portion and presentation
• Complete mise en place and preparation for service
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
• Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
• Follow established recipes, systems and procedures

About you

• Previous wok cooking experience
• Can confidently handle a busy service
• Works quickly while maintaining consistency and quality
• Good knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety
• Reliable, punctual and works well as part of a team
• Takes pride in their work and has a positive attitude
• Korean or Asian cuisine experience is highly regarded
• Can work independently and take responsibility for their section
