This is a rare Director opportunity across Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne to work closely with the Chair and Board of Deloitte Australia which is responsible for the overall governance, oversight and stewardship of the firm aligned to its values, culture, and strategy. As the Chair also sits on the Deloitte Asia Pacific and Global Board’s, you will also have a key role in co-ordinating these responsibilities.
What will your typical day look like?
Working with the Chair, you will help deliver on the Board’s key priorities, shape Board/Committee agendas, and track Board decisions and commitments in line with governance best practice. You will build trusted relationships with Board members, senior executives, and external stakeholders to support the Board’s priority initiatives.
About The Team
You will sit within the Office of the Chair, working closely with the Deloitte Australia Board which will involve interaction and co-ordination with the Office of the CEO and the Deloitte Asia Pacific and Global Board’s.

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:
Experience supporting Boards, Chairs, CEOs, or other senior executives on strategic and governance matters Strong commercial and governance judgement, with the ability to identify and connect issues across the firm A track record of managing complex, sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and sound judgement The ability to interact with senior stakeholders and assist to drive outcomes Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparing high-quality briefings and papers Experience operating in professional services or other complex stakeholder-led environments Regulatory experience, ideally in environments where governance, quality and risk management are paramount Exposure to governance reform, leadership succession, culture and conduct, or enterprise-wide transformation initiatives
