Are you an early riser with a knack for organization? We’re looking for a dedicated Storeperson to join our team. If you’re reliable, detail-oriented, and ready to take on a new challenge, we want to hear from you!
We're looking for someone who is self-motivated, proactive, and quick to think on their feet. You'll be a team player who is happy to pitch in where needed and embraces a collaborative approach rather than a "that's not my job" mindset.
This role involves regular manual handling and some heavy lifting, so a good level of physical fitness is essential, along with a strong understanding of safe lifting techniques and workplace safety practices.
You'll need to hold a valid “High Risk Work" licence. If you meet all our other criteria but lack this license, we’ll cover the cost of your training to obtain it.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities :
Responsible for receiving, storing, assembling, packing and/or unpacking of raw/finished goods as well as loading of goods from the store whilst maintaining accuracy and integrity of records including all associated documentation and record keeping for accounting purposes.
To efficiently move raw/finished product within & outside warehouse environment.
Stock Rotation
Ensure that documentation, labelling, palletisation and presentation are done accurately.
To develop and maintain a professional relationship with third party carriers, courier companies, and freight forwarders ensuring our brands reputation and values are portrayed.
Where an offsite is utilised ensure all stock records are kept up-to-date maintaining accuracy and that any interaction required with offsite personnel or management is conducted in a professional manner.
Manage all stock movements and follow through with any discrepancies that arise
Receipt stock in accordance with our policies and procedures
Process claims where required on faulty goods, late deliveries, and short deliveries
Report to Production Manager on a daily basis any issues relating to goods movements
Keep the warehouse and chillers clean, tidy & well-organised ensuring stock is able to be stored in a clean environment.
Remove and dispose of all rubbish daily.
Keep storage of stock, fixtures, and fittings organised and tidy
Keep an organised area for any relevant empty boxes.
Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by:
Reporting all accidents and hazards;
Avoiding unsafe practices at work;
Ensure all faulty credit stock is returned to supplier in a timely manner
Ensure all paperwork associated with credits is complete and recorded accurately
Liaise with Office Staff to ensure complete attainment of all credit requests
Credits or replacement stock obtained for all returned stock.
Proven ability to work in a food manufacturing environment and experience with Food Safety.
To be fluent with speaking, reading and writing English, as you will be doing this constantly
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work alone, under pressure and unsupervised
Own transport
Forklift license
Stock rotation experience
Computer/Scanner aptitude Skills
Strong organisational and planning skills
