Senior Quantity Surveyor

Consilium Solutions is expanding and seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Perth team. In this role, you will work closely with project teams and clients across major mining, infrastructure, and critical minerals projects, providing commercial leadership, cost management expertise, and contractual support throughout the project lifecycle.
As a key member of our growing commercial team, you will be responsible for managing project costs, contract administration, procurement support, valuations, forecasting, and commercial reporting. You will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, commercially sound, and aligned with our core values of Performance, Integrity, Efficiency, and Commitment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide quantity surveying, cost management, and commercial advisory services across mining, infrastructure, energy, and major capital projectsDevelop and maintain project cost estimates, cost plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts throughout the project lifecyclePrepare and review quantity take-offs, cost benchmarking, and value engineering assessmentsAdminister contracts, including assessment of progress claims, variations, extension of time claims, and final accountsSupport procurement activities including tender preparation, bid evaluation, contractor selection, and contract negotiationsFacilitate stakeholder engagement and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and project teamsProvide strategic commercial advice during project planning, execution, and close-out phasesSupport project controls and governance processes to ensure compliance with client and contractual requirementsMentor and support junior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Consultants within the business
About You
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commercial Management, or a related disciplineMembership or eligibility for membership with AIQS or RICS is highly regardedMinimum of 10 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with at least 3 years in a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Lead capacityWillingness and ability to travel and work on client sites, including Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) and Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) assignments, as required by project and client needsDemonstrated experience delivering mining, resources, infrastructure, or major construction projects within AustraliaStrong understanding of construction contracts, commercial management, and cost control principlesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and commercial reporting toolsExcellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environmentOutstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
