Medical Receptionist – General Practice

North of the River | $28–$35 per hour | Casual/Part-Time | Immediate Start

We are a well-established mix-billing General Practice located north of the river, seeking a reliable, experienced and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a professional general practice environment and takes pride in providing exceptional patient service.

About the Role

You will play an important role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice, supporting our patients, doctors and clinical team.

Hours:

• Monday: Off

• Tuesday: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM

• Wednesday: Off

• Thursday: 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM

• Friday: Off

• One Saturday per month: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Additional hours may be available to cover staff leave, sickness and holidays.

Pay: $28–$35 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and providing friendly, professional service

• Managing appointments and patient bookings

• Answering phone calls and email enquiries

• Processing payments, billing and Medicare claims

• Providing administrative support to doctors and clinical staff

• Maintaining accurate patient records

• Maintaining strict patient confidentiality

• Knowledge of Best Practice is an advantage.
