The Opportunity

At Komatsu in Bassendean, we're diving deeper into the fabrication sector, and we need talented boilermakers like you to lead the charge.

This isn't just another job; it's a chance to transform flat steel plates into purpose-driven masterpieces - whether large, small, or somewhere in between.

Play a key role in producing a vast range of Komatsu Mining, Civil, Construction, and Utility Equipment — PC18, 830, and 930 Haul Trucks to the latest PC3400 and beyond.

Work on diverse tasks with crafting Trays, Buckets, and Transport Frames to executing repairs and creating the minutest yet essential brackets.

Roster: Monday to Friday

Role Located: Bassendean, WA

Meal Facilities: Subway and Jesters within a few minutes’ walk from the workshop and a Food van comes to site for meal breaks

What we’re looking for: Boilermakers / Fabricators

Experience in FCAW, MIG/MAG process in various positions with the ability to pass weld testsCommitment, understanding and ability to demonstrate that you can work the highest safety standardAbility to fabricate by interpreting, understanding fabrication drawings and apply all relevant proceduresOpen to new processes, methods and systems including SOPs, SWIMS.Arc air gouging skillsOrganised, driven, reliable and Self MotivatedHold a relevant trade certificate

What we’re looking for: Welders

Trade qualified as a Boilermaker welder with experience in new build manufacturingMust be able to pass a weld test to AS1554 .1to 5 and/or D1.1 welding standardsMust have a current motor Vehicle, dogman, and/or riggers ticket and Forklift license.Must be able to read and understand manufacturing drawings in both imperial and metric standards
