Mechanical Fitter - Sunshine Sugar Broadwater Mill (readvertised)

Sunshine Sugar’s Broadwater site has opportunities available for Mechanical Fitter (s) to fill a permanent vacancy. The Broadwater site is in the Northern Rivers, only 20 minutes to Ballina.   

Please note: Our Fitter & Boilermaker pay rates have changed and are now classified according to experience level, with pay rates between $41 - $52/hour.

We are looking for

• Trade qualifications (Certificate III and Certificate of Proficiency)

• Heavy Industrial/Shutdown experience

• Proven exposure to working on wide range of equipment, pumps, valves, pipelines, motors, gearboxes, boilers and turbines

• Ability to fabricate small & large components

• Competent in interpreting drawings

• Experience with pressure vessels preferred but not essential

• Machine maintenance and troubleshooting experience

• Ability to communicate in a clear and constructive manner both verbally and in writing

• Organisational skills and ability to prioritise

• Commitment and good attitude to safety and culture

• Teamwork and willingness to co-operatively share knowledge and expertise

We can offer you

• 5 weeks annual leave

• 25% leave loading (on 4 weeks)

• 9 day fortnight in off season (January - June)

• Overtime available during crushing season (June - December)

• RDO a month

• Flexible rosters available, including afternoon shift.
