About the role
Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.
Join our team as a Palliative Care Volunteer and Bereavement Support Coordinator and help make a meaningful difference to patients, families, carers and people experiencing grief and loss.
In this rewarding role, you will coordinate and further develop our Palliative Care volunteer program, including the recruitment, training, supervision and support of volunteers. You will also promote awareness and understanding of palliative care services across the hospital and wider community.
Working closely with our multidisciplinary team and community partners, you will contribute to health promotion, education and community engagement initiatives that support compassionate, client-centred care and enhance quality of life and wellbeing.
