HammondCare Home Care is currently looking for Casual Carers to join our team in the Jean Marion Cottage located in Narara.

The Opportunity

HammondCare’s Respite Cottages provide short-term accommodation and individualised support for older guests during stays of up to 10 nights. As a Specialised Carer, you’ll play a vital role in delivering personalised care and creating a welcoming, home-like environment.

About the role

Hourly Rates : $32.91 to $36.50 P/H + penalties

Please note: Rosters available may not suit student visa due to hour restrictions. Unlimited work rights will be highly regarded.

Shifts include : *** Ideally you will be able to work a mix of the below shifts

• 7.15am-14.45 - Morning shift
• 14.45 - 21.45- Afternoon shift
• 21.30- 07.45- Night shift

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including grooming and hygiene
• Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans
• Support and care for guests during overnight or extended stays
• Promote guest dignity and independence through daily activities
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in care professionally
• You will occasionally assist Guests to access and participate in community activities and events by providing transport support. (Drivers license is essential)

What do you need to apply?

• No formal qualification is necessary; however, Certificate III Individual Support is an advantage
• Australian Drivers license
• Available to work a mix of the above mentioned shifts
• First Aid certificate desirable
• Empathy and compassion are a must
• We provide job training as long as you have the willingness and desire to learn
• Good administrative and computer skills, including the use of a smartphone
• A strong team player, who can communicate professionally changes in care, complete all documentation, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
