Light/Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

TFH Hire Services Pty Ltd are construction & event specialists with a fleet of Utes, Trucks and Forklifts.  

Located at Kingston on the Southside of Brisbane, we are seeking an experienced Light or Heavy Mechanic to join our team.

You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of trucks, forklifts and company cars. You’ll work in a fully equipped workshop and occasionally assist for on-road breakdowns or maintenance.

Key responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems

• Perform routine maintenance and scheduled servicing

• Use diagnostic tools and software for fault-finding

• Complete job cards, reports, and paperwork accurately

• Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards

• Provide occasional on-road service repairs as needed

The successful candidate will:

• Qualifications in either Light or Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent

• Minimum 2+ years experience in a similar role

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship

• Good communication and time management skills

• HR licence and forklift licence (desirable but not essential)

• A roadworthy licence or air-conditioning qualifications would be highly advantageous
