The Opportunity
Albany Creek Retirement Living is a well-established retirement community based in Brisbane’s North spread across 11 hectares of landscaped grounds. Our onsite facilities such as swimming pools and tennis courts provide a rich range activities for residents to enjoy each day. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care, medication assistance, social support and clinical leadership to residents living within their Aveo home. Our Registered Nurses have a strong focus on clinical standards & decision making, supporting fellow care team members and building connections with residents in a community-style environment.
This is a permanent part-time position working Monday to Friday (7:00am-3:00pm)
Your Impact
Work independently within resident units to provide in-home nursing support, including medication assistance, wound care, personal hygiene care and general clinical assistance
Provide care, tailored to the resident's needs in line with their current care plans
Liaise with external stakeholders such as family members, paramedics and GPs, while providing internal supervision to fellow care team members
Complete administration tasks, ensuring resident notes are up to date in our Care Management System (Alayacare)
Attend to any first aid and medical emergencies in a calm and professional manner
Follow all Aveo OH&S policies and procedures and report any safety, security and resident incidents
What you'll bring
Minimum 12 months experience as a Registered Nurse, in a similar setting, with a passion for community care, independence and wellbeing
Friendly, adaptable and proactive attitude, with a passion for being part of a community environment
Strong communication skills, with a genuine ability to build meaningful connections with residents and confidence to engage with family members
Division 1 AHPRA registration, current CPR certificate and two COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
Valid driver’s licence + vehicle (highly regarded)
