A significant opportunity has arisen to join a large, purpose-led organisation operating at the forefront of Australia’s housing and community sector.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief of Staff will work at the centre of the organisation, strengthening the connection between strategy, executive decision-making and delivery.
  
This is a broad and influential role for an accomplished executive who can bring clarity to complexity, maintain momentum across competing priorities and build accountability without relying on formal authority.
  
The Opportunity

Working closely with the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Team, you will translate organisational strategy into practical plans, measurable priorities and disciplined execution.
You will provide the CEO with clear visibility across enterprise priorities, organisational performance, Board commitments and key projects. Just as importantly, you will ensure decisions are followed through and accountabilities remain clear.
  
Your remit will span:

• coordinating organisational strategy and operational planning
• establishing effective performance and KPI reporting
• strengthening executive operating rhythms, actions and accountability
• integrating strategic, operational and financial performance reporting
• coordinating CEO and Board reporting and monitoring agreed actions
• overseeing enterprise-wide projects and their governance
• improving information flow across executive and senior leadership
• supporting clear and consistent CEO and enterprise communications
• identifying emerging issues, dependencies and areas requiring executive attention
• providing leadership and direction to the Executive Support Team.
• Developing a clearer enterprise view of performance, risk and priorities

  
About You

We are seeking a highly organised, commercially minded executive who combines strategic thinking with a strong bias towards delivery.
You will be comfortable operating alongside a CEO and senior executives, absorbing complex information quickly and turning it into clear priorities, decisions and actions.
  
You are likely to bring:

• substantial experience in a complex commercial, corporate, government or large not-for-profit environment
• demonstrated capability in strategy execution, operational planning and organisational performance
• experience working closely with CEOs, executive leadership teams and governance stakeholders
• strong judgement, discretion and political awareness
• the ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority
• highly developed written communication, briefing and reporting skills
• experience bringing structure, ownership and accountability to complex initiatives
• the ability to move comfortably between enterprise-level priorities and practical detail
• resilience and composure when priorities change.

  
Direct housing sector experience is not essential. Candidates from a broad range of sectors will be considered where they can demonstrate the organisational scale, governance exposure and enterprise coordination required for the position.

Location: Brisbane or Melbourne
Remuneration: $215,000–$235,000 neg base + superannuation
