The Opportunity

The best warehouse leaders aren't focused on managing from the sidelines. They're visible, connected to their teams and willing to step in when it matters.

We're looking for a Shift Manager, Warehouse to lead our day shift operation at our Dandenong South site. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you'll lead a team of c. 20 people across our chilled, ambient and co-packing operations, helping ensure our products are safely picked, packed and delivered to customers every day.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll spend time on the floor supporting Team Leaders, removing roadblocks, developing capability and helping the team deliver strong operational outcomes. You'll also play an important role in maintaining alignment across shifts, driving continuous improvement and supporting a warehouse operation that's continuing to grow and evolve.

You'll work a Monday to Friday roster, typically between 6:00 am and 2:30 pm, with flexibility to support operational requirements when needed.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and developing Team Leaders and warehouse employees

• Driving a positive culture built on safety, accountability and teamwork

• Managing labour planning, productivity and daily service performance

• Supporting customer delivery outcomes through effective warehouse operations

• Solving operational challenges and making decisions in a fast-paced environment

• Driving continuous improvement and supporting ongoing operational change

Your Experience

Strong warehouse experience will set you up for success, but it's your leadership style that will differentiate you.

You may come from FMCG, food manufacturing, beverage, retail distribution, logistics, transport or 3PL environments. What matters is that you've led teams in a fast-moving operation, understand the fundamentals of warehouse performance and genuinely enjoy helping people succeed.

You'll be someone who is comfortable on the floor, not in an office. Someone who builds relationships quickly, remains calm when priorities shift and knows how to balance operational results with people development.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Experience leading frontline warehouse or distribution teams

• Strong operational decision-making and problem-solving capability

• A collaborative and hands-on leadership style

• A passion for coaching, developing and building capability in others

• A current Forklift Licence
