Yard Supervisor

Blue Bins Waste is looking for a reliable and motivated Yard Supervisor to join our team at our Lonsdale waste sorting facility.

This is a full-time position for the right candidate, with ongoing training and the opportunity to grow within the business.

About the Role

As Yard Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing a small team and the day-to-day operation of our waste sorting yard.

·         Supervising and coordinating a small team of yard staff

·         Overseeing the sorting and separation of waste materials

·         Operating a front-end loader and excavator

·         Keeping the yard organised, safe and running efficiently

·         Ensuring workplace safety procedures are followed

·         Assisting with general yard duties when required

·         Communicating with management regarding daily operations

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

·         Reliable, hardworking and able to take responsibility

·         Confident supervising and working alongside a small team

·         Safety focused and well organised

·         Comfortable working in a hands-on waste and recycling environment

·         Ability to work unsupervised

·         Experienced with a front-end loader and/or excavator – tickets are desirable

·         Willing to learn and undertake further training

. Willing to work outside in the elements year round

Front-end loader and excavator experience is preferred; however, training can be provided for the right candidate.
