The Family:
This family is seeking an experienced and highly professional nanny to care for their 1-year-old child. They are looking for someone who genuinely understands early childhood development and can provide engaging, nurturing care during these important early years.
The family values a warm and affectionate approach, while also looking for someone who is proactive, knowledgeable and confident in supporting their child's development through everyday play, activities and experiences.
Days, Hours, Start Date & Remuneration:
- 4 days per week
- 11:00am – 7:00pm
- Saturday preferred but optional
- Approximately 32 hours per week
- Start: Flexible
- $50–$55/hr, depending on experience and qualifications

The Role: - Providing attentive and nurturing care for a 1-year-old
- Planning and engaging in age-appropriate activities
- Supporting speech, language, motor, cognitive and social development
- Encouraging outdoor play, exploration and learning
- Preparing meals and snacks for the child
- Children's laundry and light household support
- Supporting the child's daily routines
- Communicating openly with parents regarding development and daily activities
- Creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment
The Ideal Nanny:The family is seeking a career nanny with significant professional experience caring for babies and toddlers and a strong understanding of early childhood development, particularly children aged 1–3 years. An Early Childhood Education background or qualification is essential, with experience in speech and language development, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, Montessori or other developmental approaches highly regarded.
The ideal candidate will be warm, affectionate, mature and professional, with a proactive approach to planning activities and supporting the child's development rather than simply supervising. Strong communication skills, excellent references and a genuine passion for working with young children are essential.
Qualifications/Requirements: - Significant professional experience caring for babies and toddlers
- Background or qualification in Early Childhood Education – essential
- Strong understanding of early childhood development
- Experience supporting speech, motor, cognitive and social development
- Relevant education or developmental qualifications highly regarded
- Minimum 3 years' experience working with children
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Check
- Valid Australian driver's licence
- Confidence driving with a young child
- Strong references from previous families
- Professional, reliable and proactive
