The successful candidate must have:

• Current and valid SA Security License

• Current and valid SA Driver’s License and own transport

• Current First Aid Certificate

• Current National Police Clearance

• Current Working With Children Check

We will be looking for applicants with;

• Excellent written and oral communication with experience in incident report writing and computer literacy.

• Availability to work on a rotating roster 24/7 (including night shifts and weekends)

• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

• Reliability and punctuality a must.

• Excellent presentation.

Mall Security 

We are looking for experienced Security Officers and also those who maybe new to the industry to join our fast-growing team across multiple sites.   

We currently have positions available working as Security Officers in Shopping Centres as Mall Security.

AMS Security provide ongoing high level training and support to all employees.

As a Security Officer you will undertake duties that involve the surveillance of our client’s premises and the protection of our clients, staff and visitors. 

In addition, you will be responsible for detecting any suspicious happenings and reporting thefts or any other criminal behaviour to clients, AMS and liaise with the local authorities. 

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct regular foot patrols of premises  

• Monitoring surveillance cameras and equipment

• Inspecting buildings, equipment

• Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel and visitors

• Report any suspicious behaviours and happenings to supervisors

• Respond to alarms or suspicious activity , and react in a timely manner

• Complete reports by recording observations, information, and occurrences

• Submit reports of criminal activity

• Submit reports of suspicious activity 

• Protect and maintain confidential information

• Adhere to all company service and operating standards procedures 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Good understanding of legal guidelines for security and public safety

• Knowledge of standard security concepts, practices and procedures

 • Experience with report writing

• Outstanding surveillance and observation skills

• Experience in monitoring surveillance systems

• Trained in First Aid

• Appropriate physical fitness
