About the Role
We are looking for a Settlement Officer to join our Australia Operations team. You will support daily merchant settlements, reconciliation, and payment operations, ensuring transactions are accurate, timely, and properly controlled.
This role is ideal for candidates with 1+ year of experience in fintech, payments, banking operations, or settlement. We also welcome strong candidates from AP/AR, SSC, KYC/Compliance, or bank back-office backgrounds.

What You’ll Do
Process and monitor daily merchant settlements and payoutsReconcile transaction data across internal systems and banking partnersInvestigate discrepancies, failed transactions, and settlement issuesMonitor settlement cycles and identify irregularitiesWork with Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to resolve issuesMaintain accurate records and support reporting and auditsIdentify opportunities to improve processes and reduce manual work
What We’re Looking For
1+ year of relevant experience in fintech, payments, banking, settlement, reconciliation, or operationsStrong numerical ability and excellent attention to detailGood understanding of transactional processes and system logicProficient in Excel / Google SheetsExperience with KYC or payment processes is highly preferredStrong ownership, reliability, and ability to meet deadlinesComfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentStrong communication and problem-solving skills
