The RoleWe are currently seeking an enthusiastic QA Manager to join our team at Cavan, SA. This position offers a unique opportunity to embark on a stable, progressive, and fulfilling career within a secure and supportive working environment.
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the effectiveness of the overall Quality System and its Continual Improvement. They are responsible for daily monitoring the personal health and personal hygiene practices of all production staff to ensure conformance with procedures and to initiate effective corrective actions and follow up when non-conformance issues have been detected.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesReporting to the National QA Manager some areas of responsibility would include, but not be limited to:Pre operational inspection.Maintain Quality Records, Product Specifications and other Quality Data to maintain Quality Assurance reporting structures.Initiating and following up on the implementation of the Company’s Quality Policy and Documented Quality Management System.Routinely liaise with customer quality teams to ensure all specifications are up to date and allow the maximum amount of product to be complaint without being detrimental to consumer experience.Complete product checks to ensure products meets TFIA & Customer specificationsMonitor temperature requirements for storage of productsInspect cartons for compliance to specification and temperature requirements.Participate in audits internal and externalCollect relevant samples as required
Skills and ExperienceA minimum of 12 months experience in similar fieldCertificate IV in QARelevant qualifications in a Quality AssuranceComputer application and user skillsOrganised and detail orientedStrong communication and leadership skillsExperience in Red Meat Quality Assurance
