The Role
As part of the broader Human Resources team, the payroll function is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services, while ensuring that appropriate payroll policies, procedures, and systems are effectively maintained and continuously improved.
The Senior Payroll Officer plays a key role in the delivery of end-to-end payroll services within the Aurion Cloud environment. This position requires a high level of technical payroll expertise and is responsible for payroll processing, reporting, compliance, and the maintenance of payroll records. The role also provides responsive, customer-focused support to employees and stakeholders, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality payroll service.
The position encompasses a broad range of payroll activities, including the administration of employee salaries, leave entitlements, superannuation, deductions, and other employment-related payments. The Senior Payroll Officer is also responsible for producing detailed payroll analytics, dashboard reporting, and workforce data insights to support senior executives, governance requirements, and Council reporting obligations. Through these responsibilities, the role contributes to informed decision-making, legislative compliance, and the effective management of employee remuneration and benefits.
