Finance Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Finance Manager to join our transport company and take responsibility for the day-to-day accounting functions of the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, detail-oriented accounting professional who can work independently and enjoys working closely with an operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

• Prepare and issue customer invoices and follow up overdue accounts

• Process supplier invoices and payments

• Complete bank and account reconciliations

• Manage driver and subcontractor payments

• Monitor cash flow and prepare basic financial reports

• Assist with BAS, GST, payroll and other accounting requirements

• Work closely with the operations team to ensure all jobs are accurately and promptly invoiced

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records

• Provide accounting support and information to management as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in an Accounts Manager, Finance Officer or similar accounting role

• Experience within the transport or logistics industry is highly desirable

• Strong knowledge and practical experience using Xero and Microsoft Excel

• A sound understanding of Australian accounting and GST requirements

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills

• The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
