About the role

Taiwan Yes Restaurant is a Taiwanese restaurant that offers authentic Taiwanese cuisine. We are looking for a cook who is passionate about food to join our team. You will be working in a friendly team environment on a full-time contract of 40 hours per week. The work schedule is set according to a fixed weekly timetable.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of ingredients, including Chinese/Taiwanese and local specialty dishes
• Design and create dishes according to menu requirements
• Prepare cooking ingredients by chopping, slicing, peeling, grinding, etc
• Ensure food portions and presentation meet the restaurant standards
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, ensuring all kitchenware and equipment are clean and well-maintained
• Manage inventory of ingredients, ensuring their freshness and quality
• Ensure all food preparation processes comply with hygiene standards and safety regulations

About you

• Diploma or certificate from a culinary school or related field
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar position
• Proficient in various cooking techniques and the use of cooking equipment
• Good time management and organizational skills, able to work under pressure
• Innovative ability to develop new dishes and improve existing menus
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Honest, proactive, and passionate about work
• Willing to stay long-term (at least 1 year)
• Having your own transportation is preferred
