About the role

The primary purpose of the role is to deliver a solution design for a project or initiative that is cost effective and fit for purpose, provide architectural guidance and support to teams involved in the delivery, and ensure the integrity of architecture in line with application domain and Allianz standards.

• Take overall responsibility for architecture and design within the application domain to ensure that solutions meet enterprise architecture and Allianz requirements.

• Work proactively with business stakeholders during the initial business case and concept phase to support scoping and prioritization in line with business needs.

• Identify and analyse emerging trends in both business and technology to provide regular input and consultation to the business.

• Provide expert technical input and advice in the development of business strategies, technical strategies, and system architectures, and contribute to the division’s business planning activities.

• Benchmark Allianz technologies against competitors and identify technical improvements that will benefit the business.

• Lead organisational strategic initiatives (e.g., cloud adoption, migration to strategic platforms, decommissioning activities) and support artefacts that can deliver significant business benefits.

• Oversee governance of enterprise and infrastructure services leveraged across applications, ensuring adherence to SDLC and SOX requirements.

About you

• Comprehensive knowledge of the business domain and significant experience within the insurance industry.

• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture methodologies and frameworks.

• Ability to recognise, avert, manage, and escalate conflicts to enable effective and timely resolution in accordance with organisational processes.

• Ability to manage complex negotiations to ensure mutual agreement between parties is achieved.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and persuasively with audiences at all levels.

• Demonstrated technical proficiency across systems, software, databases, reporting tools, and communication platforms.

• Experience working in large enterprise environments with established architecture governance, review forums, and security design standards.

• Ability to focus on desired outcomes and align work efforts to achieve expected results.

• Identity and Access Management and Network Security are a must; AWS and Azure Security.

• Experience in Application Security, PING Identity, CIAM (Customer Identity and Access Management).
