HSE Advisor

About the role

The HSE / Safety Coordinator will support the Systems Manager, Construction Manager, Project Managers and site teams to maintain compliance with Eifers' integrated management systems, policies and procedures, reduce workplace risk and promote a positive safety culture across the business. The role will have a strong site-based focus while also supporting project documentation, audits, incident management, reporting and continuous improvement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and support workplace health and safety initiatives across Eifers.
• Monitor and assist with compliance with company policies, procedures and safety requirements.
• Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits and risk assessments across project sites.
• Identify hazards and assist with the implementation and monitoring of appropriate risk controls.
• Support the development, implementation and review of Site Safety Management Plans.
• Assist with the development, review and maintenance of SWMS, project plans, permits and other project documentation.
• Attend and contribute to toolbox meetings, safety meetings and site inductions, including site-specific inductions.
• Assist with incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions.
• Support the implementation and ongoing improvement of OHS/WHS procedures and systems.
• Assist with internal and external audits and maintain compliance with ISO 45001, OFSC and other applicable requirements.

About you

• Minimum Certificate IV in WHS/OHS or relevant qualification.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of WHS/OHS legislation, safety systems and construction compliance requirements.
• Experience with safety documentation including SWMS, risk assessments, inspections and incident reporting.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and OFSC requirements.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence working with documentation and reporting systems.
• Current Australian driver's licence and White Card.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and people engagement skills.
• High level of professionalism, integrity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a small team.
