In this role, you'll:
• This role will see you lead bridge assessment and evaluation activities to manage technical risk and ensure safe, reliable network performance.
• You will provide expert bridge engineering leadership and technical advice in complex, high-risk infrastructure and asset management environments.
• You will conduct and oversee assessments, peer reviews and research initiatives to support informed decisions, asset performance and community outcomes.
• You will work collaboratively with Heavy Vehicle Assessment Teams and relevant Senior Bridge Engineers as directed by Principal Engineer to assist with management of the workload specially in Heavy Vehicle Assessment space.
Fixed-Term position until December 2028 based in Parramatta.

About you
• You possess Bachelor of Civil or Structural Engineering qualification or equivalent professional accreditation, with extensive bridge engineering experience and a current Australian driver licence.
• You’re recognised as a trusted technical and people leader, skilled at managing engineering team, risk and delivering practical solutions to complex challenges.
• You bring experience in bridge assessment, structural evaluation and team leadership to improve asset performance and minimise lifecycle costs.
