The Opportunity

Make an impact through customer insight. The Group Consumer Insights Manager is a pivotal group-level role responsible for driving better customer and business outcomes through robust analysis, research and insight-led decision making. Working across Australia, the UK and future markets, you’ll transform complex customer, market and business data into actionable insights that inform strategies across acquisition, retention, brand, member experience and operational performance. Partnering closely with marketing, sales, operations and data teams, you’ll balance group-wide insight leadership with local market collaboration to ensure consistent, scalable and commercially impactful decision making.

The Role & Responsibilities

• Lead consumer research and market insights initiatives to understand member behaviours, needs and motivations, while identifying emerging trends, growth opportunities and future market dynamics across the fitness, health and wellness sectors
• Own and evolve brand health tracking, providing a holistic view of brand performance across awareness, consideration, perception and loyalty, and ensuring insights inform brand and marketing strategy
• Consolidate and analyse marketing, sales and operational data to deliver a 360-degree view of business performance, customer behaviour and lifecycle trends
• Develop dashboards, reports and insight packs that enable timely, data-led decision making, partnering closely with IT, Business Analytics and data teams to maintain data integrity and consistency
• Provide operational and commercial insights across pricing, retention, membership mix, demand and performance, identifying opportunities to optimise outcomes at both group and local levels
• Measure and evaluate marketing effectiveness, tracking key performance indicators, campaign ROI and customer outcomes to drive continuous improvement
• Monitor competitor activity, category trends and market dynamics, delivering actionable intelligence to support strategic decision making
• Partner with Brand, Digital, Creative, Communications and local market teams to embed insights into planning and execution, presenting clear, compelling recommendations to senior leaders
• Manage relationships with external research and data partners to ensure high-quality, commercially relevant insights

Experience & About You

• Degree qualified in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Economics, Psychology or related field
• 5+ years’ experience in customer insights, market research, business intelligence or data analytics
• Proven ability to translate complex data, research and performance metrics into actionable business insights
• Strong knowledge of research methodologies, analytics tools and insight frameworks
• Experience managing end-to-end insight projects across research, analytics and business performance
• Commercially minded, customer-focused and highly analytical, with the ability to balance detail with strategic thinking
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels
• Collaborative and proactive, with experience working cross-functionally across multiple teams
• Experience within franchise, retail, consumer-led or multi-market organisations will be highly regarded
• Self-motivated and comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment
