Cook | Terrace on the Domain

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team at Terrace on the Domain.

Working within a busy restaurant and events environment, you will assist with food preparation and service while maintaining consistently high standards of quality, presentation, food safety and kitchen organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
• Complete daily mise en place and preparation requirements
• Assist with restaurant, café and function food production
• Maintain consistent portioning, quality and presentation
• Set up and maintain an organised workstation for service
• Follow food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures
• Correctly label, date, rotate and store food products
• Minimise food waste and assist with stock control
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen and equipment
• Communicate effectively with chefs and other team members
• Assist other sections during busy service periods

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working in a commercial kitchen
• Is passionate about food and maintaining high standards
• Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Is reliable, punctual and organised
• Works well within a team
• Has good communication skills
• Understands food safety and kitchen hygiene requirements
• Is available across a flexible roster, including weekends and public holidays where required
