Surveyor – Sunshine Coast
Sunshine Coast, QLD
An excellent opportunity is available for a Surveyor to join our growing Survey team on the Sunshine Coast.
This position offers the opportunity to further develop your surveying career, progress towards registration with the Surveyors Board of Queensland and be supported by a team of experienced and driven industry professionals using the latest equipment and technology.
With a strong pipeline of work across South East Queensland, you will gain exposure to a broad variety of surveying projects while developing both your technical and project management capability.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will provide technical input and support across a variety of surveying projects.
You will:
Undertake fieldwork, calculations and data processing across a range of cadastral, development and infrastructure projects
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders
Assist with the management of projects from initial brief through to delivery, including client liaison and internal coordination
Prepare accurate survey documentation, plans and project deliverables
Support project budgets, programming and delivery requirements
Work closely with Team Leaders, Survey Managers and other experienced Surveyors
Assist with resource planning and provide support to junior team members as your experience develops
Ensure work is undertaken in accordance with RPS quality and work health and safety standards.
About you
You will ideally be registered with the Surveyors Board of Queensland as an Associate Surveyor, or be a Graduate Surveyor actively progressing towards registration. Full Surveyor registration or above would also be highly regarded.
You will bring:
Approximately 2–3 years’ experience across a range of surveying projects
A recognised qualification in surveying
Experience in cadastral and land surveying
Sound field surveying, calculation and data processing capability
Strong organisational and time management skills
The ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and other project stakeholders
Proficiency with surveying equipment and relevant software
The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a broader team.
Experience with Trimble instruments and 12D will be advantageous, along with previous experience working within a surveying, engineering or multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
A current Queensland manual driver's licence is required.
You must have full Australian working rights, as sponsorship is not available for this position.
