Disability Support Worker – Positive Behaviour Support Experience

All Types of Care is currently seeking an experienced and confident Support Worker to join our team.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience supporting participants with Positive Behaviour Support plans in place. 

About the Role

As a Support Worker with All Types of Care Queensland, you will provide person-centred support to individuals with disability, assisting them to work towards their NDIS goals, build independence, develop daily living skills, and safely access their community.

This role involves working with participants who may display complex needs, challenging behaviours and behaviours of concern, so confidence, patience, resilience, and the ability to follow established Behaviour Support Plans and support strategies are essential.

We Are Looking for Someone Who:

• Has previous experience with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and behaviours of concern

• Is confident supporting participants with complex support needs

• Can remain calm, professional, and responsive during challenging situations

• Understands the importance of following Behaviour Support Plans and established strategies

• Can recognise triggers, early warning signs, and changes in behaviour

• Uses proactive, person-centred and least-restrictive approaches

• Has strong professional boundaries and communication skills

• Can accurately complete shift notes, incident reports, and behaviour-related documentation

• Is reliable, consistent, and able to work both independently and within a team

• Is open to feedback, training, and ongoing professional development

Desirable Experience

Previous experience within NDIS, Supported Independent Living (SIL), community access, mental health, complex care, or Positive Behaviour Support environments will be highly regarded.

• Driver's Licence

• NDIS Worker Screening Card (Yellow Card)

• Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

• First Aid & CPR certificate (or willing to obtain)

• NDIS Module Certificates

• 5am starts and/or Sleepovers
