Practice Manager – Como GP

About the role

As Practice Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of Como GP and work closely with our Practice Directors, doctors, nurses and administration team.

Key responsibilities

• Providing overall leadership, supervision and management of the practice

• Supporting a positive, collaborative and professional workplace culture

• Driving continuous quality improvement across the practice

• Developing, reviewing and maintaining practice policies and procedures

• Coordinating medical, clinical and stationery supplies

• Managing all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance appraisals and conflict resolution

• Preparing and overseeing staff rosters

• Coordinating and chairing staff and clinical meetings

• Overseeing financial management, including budgets, payroll, financial planning, accounts and debt recovery

• Working closely with the external bookkeeper to oversee accounts and financial reporting

About you

• Has previous experience in Practice Management

• Is available full-time or part-time, with a minimum of three days per week

• Is organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of their role

• Has demonstrated experience managing staff, including recruitment, performance management and conflict resolution

• Has a sound understanding of the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), Practice Incentives Program (PIP), Workforce Incentive Program (WIP) and PIP Quality Improvement Incentive (PIP QI)

• Has strong computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

• Holds a current C Class driver's license

• Communicates confidently and professionally with doctors, staff, patients and external providers

• Enjoys identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and the overall running of a practice
