Annabelle Childcare Centre is licensed for 230 children a day aged 0-6 years old. We also offer before and after school care and provide a bus to collect and drop-off children from the Centre to the local schools.

Our aim is to provide a secure and happy environment where children can develop their intellectual, social, emotional, physical and aesthetic skills to become competent and confident individuals.

The Opportunity

Our Service is on the lookout for a Second in charge in Training who is passionate, creative and dedicated. If you are looking for an opportunity to showcase your leadership skills and step into the next exciting stage of your career in the Early Childhood Industry this position is for you.

This is a newly established role in which you will work alongside the Centre Manager and support day to day operational requirements as well as working on operational projects, tasks and quality improvement.

Requirements

• Experience in a lead position.

• Must be available to work full time – 5 days per week (Mon-Fri)

• Diploma or higher in Children's Services or be studying towards an Early Childhood qualification.

• Working with Children Check

• First Aid Certificate

• Asthma and anaphylaxis management

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) to ensure quality practices and outcomes for children.

• Strong knowledge of children’s health and safety practices with a pro active approach

• Capability to guide, mentor and provide direction to other educators in the setting.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with children, families, colleagues and management.

• Work Collaboratively with an established management team

• A commitment to engage in ongoing training and development

• Ability to manage tasks and adhere to deadlines
