Accounts Clerk/Medical Receptionist

Employment Type: Part time/Full time (flexible)

Young District Medical Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Accounts Clerk/Medical Receptionist to join our team. The successful applicant will have strong customer service skills, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team in a busy environment. Experience with MBS billings and interpretation is desirable but not essential. 

Key Responsibilities

·         Medicare and MBS billing processes, Workers’ compensation billings

·         Hospital billings using practice specific software (training supplied)

·         Support reception duties, including greeting patients and responding to enquiries.

·         Provide professional, friendly, and helpful customer service.

·         Work cooperatively with doctors, staff, patients, and external providers.

·         Maintain confidentiality and follow workplace procedures.

What We Are Looking For

·         Customer service experience.

·         Experience with MBS billings is desirable but not essential.

·         A high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

·         Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.

·         Strong communication, organisation, and attention to detail.

·         A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

·         Strong computer skills
