Civil Designer

Amey Australia is seeking a Civil Designer with land development experience to join our Perth team. Based in our centrally located Balcatta office, you'll enjoy a modern open-plan workspace, supportive team culture, well-stocked kitchen, and easy access to local cafés and lunch spots.

As a Civil Designer, you'll be involved across the full project lifecycle, from concept design through to detailed design and project delivery. Working closely with senior designers, engineers and project managers, you'll contribute to a diverse portfolio of urban development and infrastructure projects throughout Western Australia.

• Work on diverse projects across residential subdivisions, urban development and civil infrastructure.

• Grow your technical expertise with mentoring and support from experienced industry professionals.

• Enjoy real variety with involvement in every stage of a project's lifecycle, from concept through to construction-ready design.

• Deliver civil design solutions across urban development and infrastructure projects using 12d Model as your primary design tool.

• Prepare concept, functional and detailed civil designs.

• Produce accurate, high-quality design documentation, models and technical drawings.

• Undertake civil design and drafting using 12d Model and AutoCAD.

• Prepare calculations, plans and documentation for submission to relevant authorities.

• Review designs to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, clients and stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.

• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including design standards, workflows and processes.

• Support and share knowledge with junior designers and cadets where appropriate.

• Approximately 4+ years' experience in civil design, ideally within land development and civil infrastructure projects.

• Strong practical experience using 12d Model in a civil design environment.

• Experience delivering designs across roads, stormwater, earthworks and related civil infrastructure.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Ability to contribute to design delivery from concept through to detailed design.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality outcomes.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.

• Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience working within a consulting engineering environment.

• Knowledge of local authority requirements and industry design standards.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

• Interest in mentoring and supporting the development of emerging designers.
